Worship is a word with as many perspectives as cultures in the world today. But to me Worship is the way I live. As a Christian I am to live a life wholly committed to Christ. Nothing is higher, not my family, not my job, not my ministry, not my money. My life is no longer mine, but Christ’s. Everything I do I do it as Worship to my King.

Traditionally in the church the word Worship is depicted through music which makes perfect sense. It is the perfect avenue into the presence of the Lord Most High. Music to me is the most beautiful creation God ever made. It has the ability to focus our attention on Him and away from ourselves. It triggers our emotions like nothing else on earth, and leaves us open for the presence of God to fill us, change us, and use us.

The music here at Tecumseh Assembly of God is always God centered. One could expect to sing songs that not only glorify God but also teach us who He is. Any Sunday morning we’ll play the newer cutting edge contemporary worship songs of our day while also paying tribute to the songs of the past that have stood the test of time. All of our music has a foundation centered on Gods word.

Musical excellence is a must. The word says “Sing to him a new song; play¬†skillfully, and shout for joy.” Psalm 33:3 NIV. As a musician and a leader it is my responsibility to polish my gifting to the church so that I may edify the body. I need to give my very best to the Lord every week.

I love serving this body, leading them into the presence of the Lord week in and week out. I am truly blessed to be here at Tecumseh Assembly of God, and I am so excited to see the changes He’s making in His people during our services.
